Stefan Schaffner

Stefan Schaffner is a German Indo-Europeanist .

Life

From 1988 to 1994 he studied Indo-European linguistics, classical philology and German linguistics at the University of Regensburg . He received his Magister Artium in 1994 and Dr. phil. and 2006 PD Dr. phil. habil. with Gert Klingenschmitt , Rosemarie Lühr and Heinrich Tiefenbach (studies on selected problems of nominal morphology and the etymology of the ancient Indo-European languages). Since October 15, 2015 he has been teaching as a university professor for Comparative Indo-European Linguistics at the FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg .
