Stefanie Heiden

Stefanie Heiden (born August 2, 1966 in Saarlouis ) is a German science and technology manager; by birth she is a trained microbiologist and biochemist . Among other things, she is an honorary professor at the University of Osnabrück , where she represents the subject of " Industrial and Environmental Biotechnology " in the Biology / Chemistry Department.

Life

Stefanie Heiden works in the field of research, technology and science management. After her academic training at the Philipps University of Marburg and scientific assistantship at the Max Planck Institute for Terrestrial Microbiology in Marburg / Lahn and post-doc time at the Pasteur Institute in Paris, her path led to the German Federal Environment Foundation (DBU) in Osnabrück , one of the largest private foundations under civil law. Here she designed the structure of the environmental research department and developed the “Industrial / White Biotechnology” funding priority. She headed the Biotech / Life Sciences division and was deputy head of the "Environmental Research and Nature Conservation" department at the DBU. This included the fields of environmental chemistry, biotechnology, environmentally friendly land use & renewable raw materials, nature conservation and the scholarship programs (national and international) of the DBU. From 2010 to 2012 she was general manager of the working group of industrial research associations "Otto von Guericke" .

She is a certified change manager , appraiser and expert for science, business, capital providers and government (federal and state level) and a member of numerous committees, including supervisory boards of research centers. In recent years she has dealt intensively with the topics of restructuring, reorganization and repositioning of organizations as well as the subject of charitable status and corporate governance.

Stefanie Heiden is married and has one child. Heiden was born in the Saarland and has also represented this state as Saarland ambassador since 2006.
