As Steig letter was referred as to the beginning of the 20th century notary notarized sales contracts, mainly for real estate.

Definition of terms

The term is derived from the words increase or auction. Mainly for officially scheduled auctions , a riser sheet was created as a contract protocol and proof of purchase. The documents had to be made on official paper with tax stamps.
