The Naval Base Command Warnemünde (MStpKdo Warnemünde) is an agency of the German Navy in the Rostock district of Hohe Düne . It is subordinate to the operational flotilla 1 in Kiel .

history

After the establishment of the Rostock naval command in 1990, the Warnemünde naval base command was established at the beginning of 1991. From 1994 to 2001, the Warnemünde naval base was an independent agency under the Naval Section Command East (MAKdo Ost). With its dissolution in 2001, the subordination initially moved to the Naval Section Command West and after its decommissioning in 2003 to the Naval Base Command Wilhelmshaven . Since July 1, 2006, the Warnemünde naval base command has been subordinate to Flotilla 1 in Kiel .
