Steiger is a Belgian jazz crossover trio from Ghent .

Band history

In 2012, the three jazz musicians Gilles Vandecaveye, Kobe Boon and Simon Raman joined forces under the name Steiger . Musically they improvise between jazz, rock, electronic and classical music. They released their first EP called Steiger in 2016. At the Jazz Festival in their hometown of Ghent, they won the young talent competition the following year. Her debut album And Above All was released shortly afterwards . With the prize money from the competition, they financed the Give Space project with seven pieces that were recorded at seven different locations. The corresponding album entered the Belgian album charts in September 2018 .
