Stones from Blairmuir Wood
The two unaligned stones of Blairmuir Wood (also named after the surrounding farms Craigmakerran, Loanhead, Newlands or Wolfhill) are about 5.5 m apart and are believed to be the remainder of a stone circle north of Perth in Perthshire , Scotland .
The long axes of the pair of stones are at right angles to each other, at the southern end of a narrow strip of forest, east of Blairmuir Wood between the Loanhead Steading farm and the hamlet of Wolfhill.
The southeast stone measures about 0.8 m above the base, 1.3 m from west to east and is 1.55 m high. The northwest stone measures about 0.8 m above the base, 1.6 m from north to south and is also 1.55 m high.
A. Scott referred to the pair of stones as the "Druid Temple" in 1911 and assumed that it was once a circle.
