The Steinhauser Hütte was an ironworks in Witten . The smelter was founded in 1855 (rolling mill from 1814). It was located on the site of what is now the “Drei Könige” industrial estate near Herbeder Strasse. It was shut down in 1921 at the latest. In 2018, the foundations of the puddle plant were exposed as part of the renovation work on the site. A few days later, the remains of a second plant with Bessemer pears were uncovered.
