The Dooncarton stone circle ( Irish Dún Ceartáin also called Glengad , Gleann an Ghad or Baile Lecan ) is located on a slope, just outside the village of Dún Ceartáin (Dooncarton) , with a view of the cliffs of Rinroe Point and Broadhaven Bay, about 12 km northeast of Béal an Mhuirthead in northern County Mayo in Ireland . The name comes from an Iron Age tribal leader named Ciortan, who appears in the Ulster cycle in the legend "Táin Bó Flidais ".

Seven stones of the damaged Bronze Age stone circle with a diameter of about five meters are standing upright, the rest are missing or lying on the ground. The tallest is about 1.2 m high. The stone circle lies in a complex of old field walls. The more damaged, neighboring Rosdoagh Court tomb is just over a kilometer away to the east.
