The stone monuments of Burgatia are / are in the townland of Burgatia ( Irish An Bhuirgéiseach ) near Ross Carbery in the south of County Cork in Ireland .

Boulder burial

The Burgatia Boulder Burial is located on the south side of Burgatia Hill, overlooking Ross Carbery Bay. The egg-shaped boulder is 2.25 m long, 1.75 m wide and 1.4 m thick. It rests on the inner edge of three flat bearing stones.

The cup stones

The first menhir with bowls ( English cups ) stands in a pasture on the N71 south of Ross Carbery. It is 1.98 m high, 1.43 m wide and 0.37 m thick and has a point in the southwest. The rectangular stone has 24 bowls, including a cup-and-ring mark .

The second menhir with a bowl stands slightly inclined southeast of Ross Carbery. The stone is about 2.0 m high, 1.8 m wide and 0.8 m thick. It bears 56 bowls on the north side and two cup-and-ring markings near the top.
