Stella Sommer is a German singer , songwriter and musician .

Career

Sommer is the only permanent member and the sole songwriter of her project Die Heiterkeit and released an English-language solo album in 2018, which also received international attention.

Reviews

Sommer has always received excellent reviews in the music press for her publications. The cheerfulness album What happened (2019) received 10/10 points on Spiegel Online and was named one of the best albums of the year. The album Pop & Tod I + II was declared one of the “ Pop Moments of the Year” by the Süddeutsche Zeitung in 2016 and one of the best albums of 2016 by Spiegel Online. The Spex judged that “no one can pack the diffuse emotional state of their generation into music as well as Stella Sommer” and the taz called her an “exceptional musician”.
