The Step by Step Oberhausen e. V. is a dance sport club in Oberhausen .
The club has tournament pairs and multiple formations . In addition, he offers HipHop (also as a formation), Jazz Dance , VideoClip Dancing, GoGo Dance and CheerDance.
Standard formations
A-team
A standard formation in Step by Step Oberhausen has existed since 1994. It was initially a pure show team. In 2000 the standard formation of Step by Step Oberhausen started for the first time in the Regionalliga West Standard, in the first season as a formation community with TSC Schwarz-Gold Wattenscheid e. V. The musical theme was "James Bond". In 2001 and 2002 they danced to the musical theme “At The Copacabana”, in 2003 and 2004 to “Spirit Of Riverdance”. At the end of the 2003/2004 season, the team took 1st place in the Regionalliga North-West, in the subsequent relegation tournament the team reached 2nd place and was promoted to the 2nd Bundesliga Standard.

B team
In the 2004/2005 season, a B-team started for Step by Step Oberhausen for the first time in addition to the A-Team. The B-Team started in 2004/2005 and 2005/2006 with the musical theme "At The Copacabana" in the Regionalliga Nord-West Standard. In the 2006/2007 season, the B-Team danced to the musical theme "The Robbie Williams Show" in the Regionalliga West and qualified with 2nd place for participation in the relegation tournament for promotion to the 2nd Bundesliga. In the relegation tournament, the team reached 7th place.
In the 2007/2008 season the B-Team did not take part and danced in the 2008/2009 season to the musical theme "Pirates of the Caribbean - Pirates of the Caribbean" in the Regional League West Standard. The team qualified with 2nd place for participation in the relegation tournament for promotion to the 2nd Bundesliga, where it reached 6th place. In the 2009/2010 season, the A-Team danced again on the theme of “Pirates of the Caribbean - Pirates of the Caribbean”, but then did not participate in league competitions.
The coaches of the B-team were Marc Bieler and Ann-Katrin Bechtold.
Latin formations
A Latin formation existed in Step by Step Oberhausen from 1991 to 1995 as a show team. In the 1995/1996 season, an A and a B team started for the first time in the State League West Latin. The musical theme of both teams was "The Lion King". The A-Team immediately succeeded in advancing to the West Latin league.
In the next season, the A-Team rose from the Oberliga West again to the Landesliga west, but in the 1997/1998 season, with the new musical theme of "Black Music", they were immediately promoted back to the Oberliga West. In the 1998/1999 season, the team again achieved 2nd place in the Oberliga West with the musical theme "Black Music" and thus qualified for the relegation tournament for promotion to the regional league. In the relegation tournament, the team took 4th place.
In the following years the A-Team continued to dance in the Oberliga West:

During the 2004/2005 season, the A-Team of Step by Step Oberhausen danced in formation with the TTC Philadelphia Krefeld 1957 eV
At the end of the 2005/2006 season, the team was relegated to the Landesliga West. There it danced a choreography on the musical theme "Cuba II" in the 2006/2007 season. In the 2007/2008 season, the Step by Step A-Team danced in formation with TSK Schwarz-Gold Oberhausen on the musical theme of "Swords of Passion" in the Oberliga West, but after relegated to the regional league no longer entered league competitions on.
Most recently, Ursula and Alexander Buttgereit were the coaches of the A-Team.
The B-Team danced until the 1998/1999 season with changing themes in the Landesliga West:
