Steuer-Journal has been a specialist magazine for current developments in tax law, published since 2003 by the Handelsblatt publishing group (Düsseldorf). It is published fortnightly and appears on Wednesdays.

The content of the 48-page magazine is divided into the areas of taxes, balance sheets, advice and law. Judgments and administrative instructions appear as annotated abstracts, complex topics and facts are presented in essays. According to the publisher, particular importance is attached to the presentation of the advice consequences of the judgments, which should enable the reader to “put the results into practice immediately”.

The website belonging to the specialist magazine offers subscribers the opportunity to read judgments and administrative instructions in full text and to access further detailed information. A personalized news service is also available for subscribers.

According to the publisher's own information, the offer of tax journal is aimed primarily at tax consultants and tax specialists in law firms, individual practices and companies.

With the January 2010 issue, the tax journal was included in the tax consultant week magazine .
