The Berlin Foundation for Education, Values, and Life. has been promoting institutions and projects in the fields of education, science and social dialogue since 2009.
aims
The foundation offers opportunities for encounters, advice and individual support. It is operationally active and also provides financial support in justified individual cases to promote commitment and partners in educational work or science. In addition, the foundation promotes future dialogues between people from business, culture, politics, education and science.
Projects
In a mentoring project for personality development, the foundation supports adolescents and young adults in the transition from school to work or to study. The support includes career orientation coaching and the subsequent support by experienced mentors. The foundation also financially supports the Free Evangelical Schools in Berlin , the Free Christian Gymnasium in Düsseldorf, the Family Center Growing Together, the Association of Mosaic Düsseldorf and the Christian family organization Ariehs Tor.
In November 2013, the foundation opened the family, education and health center c13 in Prenzlauer Berg at Christburger Straße 13. In the center there is a public café / restaurant, two event areas, a day care center, a family center, a pediatrician and midwife practice, a center for physiotherapy and occupational therapy, further therapy and medical practices, a painting studio, apartments for students, rent - and condominiums as well as the office space of the foundation. The residents are also involved full-time or on a voluntary basis in the projects and practices in the house.
building
The building of the foundation project c13 has approx. 2500 m² net floor space, spread over 7 floors. It is currently Germany's tallest wooden house .
Board
The board of the foundation consists of the 1st chairman Michael Bremicker, the 2nd chairman Norbert Tews and Hermann Schwietering. The board of trustees is chaired by its chairman, Clark Peddicord.
