Foundation for Romantic Research

The Foundation for Romantic Research (SfR) is an institution that has set itself the goal of promoting research into the romantic era (1770-1820). The subject is the entirety of literature, art, philosophy, history and natural sciences. It intends to make what was written and created in this epoch accessible in conferences, colloquia and other forms of events as well as through publications. In addition, it should establish references to contemporary, current and social issues. The foundation is based in Starnberg . The foundation stopped its work in 2012.
