The Stockmeier Group includes companies that are active in distribution, production and services related to chemicals. Stockmeier Holding GmbH forms the roof of the group. It is an owner-managed family company with headquarters in Bielefeld .

history

The company was founded in 1920 by August Stockmeier in Bielefeld as the Stockmeier + Möller chemical factory. In 1928 the company moved to its current headquarters on Eckendorfer Straße.

Jürgen Stockmeier joined the company in 1959 and assumed responsibility for the Stockmeier family as managing director. In 1962 the two owner families parted ways and the company was divided. The company Stockmeier Chemie GmbH & Co. KG came into being. In addition to the pure trading business, Stockmeier also relies on the development and production of chemical products over the years. Stockmeier Urethanes and Stockmeier Food were founded.

In 1990 Peter Stockmeier, Jürgen Stockmeier's son, joined the company. The group continued to grow. The biggest step was the acquisition of the insolvent Kruse Group in 2013.

Today the company has more than 50 locations worldwide and around 1700 employees.

Further larger acquisitions will follow in 2019. As of March 1st the industrial chemicals division of the Spanish INDUKERN Group was acquired and the company STOCKMEIER Química was founded. In July, STOCKMEIER bought another 50% of the French company Quaron and now holds 100%. In October, STOCKMEIER Food acquired the Hungarian Aroma Bázis Kft. The company will be continued as STOCKMEIER Food Kft. As part of the STOCKMEIER Group.

On January 1, 2020, STOCKMEIER acquired the majority of shares in the Swiss company KEMTAN AG, based in Reinach near Basel.

Overall, the group operates in five business areas:

Chemical distribution & production

The focus is on trading in industrial and specialty chemicals. In addition, professional cleaning agents are developed for the food industry as well as for surface technology. Another area is the development of car care products for car washes, as well as the manufacture of windshield antifreeze. Stockmeier Chemie Eilenburg GmbH & Co. KG is also one of the manufacturers of the biocide peracetic acid. Contract manufacturing is also part of the business area. With RCN Chemie, the Stockmeier Group has a company that specializes in the processing of CFCs .

Food

In the food sector, the focus is on developing flavors for the food industry. In addition, food additives are traded.

Tissue & Textile

The Tissue & Textile division produces flexographic printing inks and glues for the tissue industry, as well as specialty chemicals for the textile industry.

Urethanes

The Urethanes division specializes in the manufacture of polyurethane systems for sports and leisure floors as well as for industrial applications.

Clean Mobility / AdBlue

In the AdBlue segment, the Stockmeier Group, with its subsidiary Kruse Automotive, is one of the largest AdBlue distributors .
