Stoyan Daskalov

Stojan Zekow Daskalow ( Bulgarian Стоян Цеков Даскалов ; born August 22, 1909 in Liljatsche , † May 18, 1985 in Sofia ) was a Bulgarian writer.

Life

Daskalow first studied Slavic Studies in Sofia and then worked as a teacher in a rural region of Bulgaria. In his three-part novel Път ( Way ) from 1945, he addressed the then current situation of the Bulgarian rural population. In later works he also thematized the living conditions in the countryside at the time of the transition to socialist production conditions in Bulgaria.

He was awarded the Dimitrov Prize.
