The Beckersches Feld Stollenzeche was a hard coal mine on the western slope of the Syberg in Dortmund . It is located to the northwest of the Kaiser Wilhelm monument . The Sengsbank seam is exposed here, the leaks were discovered in 1580. The trades Mathias Becker, judge of Schwerte and Westhofen , met here on August 9, 1582 together with the mayor of Schwerter Wilne Heinrichen Goedden. In 1582 he received permission from Count Wilhelm, Duke zu Cleve, Jülich and Berg, Baron zu der Marck and Ravensberg to mine coal. The colliery that came into being later continued to produce at least until 1663. Two more mines followed on this slope. Today the area is opened up by the Syburger Bergbauweg .
