The Nowa Huta tram depot is a depot of the Kraków tram , which is subordinate to MPK Kraków SA ( Krakauer Verkehrsbetrieb AG ). The depot is located at 12 Ujastek Street, at the intersection with Karol Łowiński Street.

History of the tram depot

In 1959 it was decided to build a tram depot in Nowa Huta. Construction did not begin until 1961 and the first trams were parked there on June 15, 1965, four years after construction began.

The 102N / 102Na type cars were stored there from 1969 and the 105N type cars from 1975.

The washing hall and repair hall were built in 1980. From 1989 T4 + B4-type cars were stored in the depot, from 1995 the GT6-type cars and from 2004 the E1 + c3-type cars.

The tracks in the wagon hall were modernized in 2006.
