Wolfgang Loescher

Wolfgang Loescher (* 1967 in Krefeld ) is a German furniture restorer and historian.

Wolfgang Loescher completed an apprenticeship as a carpenter from 1988–1991 and then worked in furniture construction. 1992–1996 he completed a restoration training at the Germanic National Museum in Nuremberg . He also studied history , art history and monument preservation in Erlangen and Bamberg (MA) from 1992–1998 . 1996–2003 he was a furniture restorer at the Germanic National Museum in Nuremberg, a position that he has held since 2003 at the Basel Historical Museum .

Wolfgang Loescher published fundamental works on the history of the carpentry trade, especially in the early modern period.
