Criminal arrest is a form of imprisonment provided for under the Military Penal Act (WStG) for soldiers in the German Federal Armed Forces ( Section 9 (2) sentence 1 WStG).
Switzerland
In Switzerland , military arrest is imposed on minor cases of criminal behavior. It is a mere disciplinary punishment. In Swiss military criminal law , arrest v. a. regulated in Art. 190 ff. of the Military Penal Act of June 13, 1927 ( MStG ; SR 321.0). The arrest can be imposed by the troop commander or the competent organs of the military justice .
Swiss law does not differentiate between criminal and disciplinary arrest .
