Picket arrest
The bar arrest was above all a to 1832 in the Prussian army allowed for enlisted men serious prison term . The place of detention was nailed with triangular slats made of hard wood and had no storage space.
Since November 1, 1832, the bar arrest could only be imposed on prisoners who were in fortress detention ; since October 1, 1872, it has been completely lifted.
Bar arrest continued to exist as a disciplinary punishment in prisons and workhouses .
