Strange Empire (developed under the name Jane Town ) is a Canadian Western - Drama Series radio station CBC Television . In March 2015, the broadcaster announced that no second season would be ordered.

Set in Canada in the 1860s, the series deals with the lives of three women who struggle to survive after all the men in their place were killed by a mysterious force.

A German-language dubbed version of the series was created by DMT - Digital Media Technologie GmbH, Hamburg based on a dialogue book by Detlef Klein and Klaus Schönicke and directed by Klein.
