Stube was a volume measure for brine in Styria . Stoof / Stof, Stauf or Stübchen are word forms derived from the Stube and denote a larger container for liquids. These terms also stand for other volume measures.

    • 1 bucket (Austria) = 0.566052 hectoliters
  • Styria 1 room = 1800 buckets = 115,452 liters
    • 1 bucket = 60 measure = 240 Seidel = 64.14 liters
