In addition, it has integrated some components such as a smiley collection, score functions and FOAF displays.

The organization of administrative tasks relating to teaching is integrated in Stud.IP, for example the maintenance of websites on institutions, employees and courses. One of the goals of Stud.IP is to increase users' media skills. On the other hand, the identification of the user with the educational institution should be increased through interaction between teachers and learners via Stud.IP.

Stud.IP provides an infrastructure for educational institutions which, with modifications, can also be used by companies and institutions with great communication and organizational needs. For this purpose, Stud.IP-eP was used to develop a version adapted to corporate needs.

Stud.IP is supported by the company data-quest, the association ELAN e. V., as well as various universities (including LUH , Uni Oldenburg , Uni Osnabrück ). This development is supported by the Stud.IP-Core Group and the Stud.IP e. V. quality assured.

From 2012 active efforts were made to offer Stud.IP also for mobile devices. The University of Oldenburg , University of Osnabrück and private developers worked on a web interface that could be used to access data. The first application for iOS and Android was available from autumn 2013 . While the Android version is no longer available, there is an iOS version called StudApp. Starting with version 3.3, Stud.IP focuses on the optimization of websites for mobile devices.
