Suat Suna (born May 26, 1975 in Istanbul ) is a Turkish musician.

Career

Suna's father Mehmet Sait Suna was a violin player himself and introduced his son to music at an early age. Suat Suna first picked up a violin at the age of four and began to be interested in it very early on. Suat Suna attended the French high school Saint Benoit Koleji in Istanbul and then the University of Istanbul , where he graduated with the main subjects "Classical Western Music" and "Violin". He plays the violin and the piano and has taught himself to play the guitar; he says: "The guitar is like a bigger violin".

During his school days he took part in several song contests and won several titles. His breakthrough came with the show "Pop Show Yarisma" in 1993, in which three of his compositions were chosen among the last ten and in the final of which he took part. He took first, second and fourth place in this contest and thus attracted the attention of several producers. He then received several offers and ultimately decided on the producer Ali Kocatepe , who has been a successful musician and singer himself for years.

In 1993 Suat Suna released his first album called Ansızın Çektin Gittin (  You are suddenly gone ), which included several of the songs he had competed with, such as: B. Ansızın Çektin Gittin , Acilar icindeyim , Yalniz Seninle and Gizli Sevda . This album sold well over a million times in Turkey. Over time, he released nine more albums.

In 2000, Suat Suna opened a music school in Frankfurt am Main and flew in regularly from Istanbul. Occasionally he gave guitar and violin lessons himself. Due to lack of time, he had to give up the school and it was closed again. In the same year he played a role in the Turkish series Zeynep and was able to take his first steps as an actor.

Today he is mainly concerned with composing songs for other Turkish singers and editing songs by other composers. He supports younger, inexperienced artists and tries to pass on his knowledge to them. Suat Suna has been making professional music for more than 17 years and can teach the younger generation a lot. But he also releases his own albums and gives concerts in Turkey and Europe. His last album was released on December 18, 2009 and is called Askin Adi (English  name of love ).
