description
The Sudan battle ax has a single-edged, crescent-shaped blade. The blade is attached to the shaft with an eye and a metal grommet. Opposite the blade there is forged a sharp tip, which in some versions is round and S-shaped. Some versions have a 14 cm long, spear-shaped tip attached to the end of the shaft. The shaft is made of wood and is often covered with leather for better grip. This ax is used by ethnic groups in Sudan.
