The Sulzer Pension Fund (SVE), based in Winterthur, is the pension fund for the employees of Sulzer and its affiliated companies.
At the end of 2015, 31 companies and a total of 13,592 insured persons were affiliated to the pension scheme, of which 6,601 were active and 6,991 were pensioners . The balance sheet total was CHF 3.815 billion. The 160 million francs in contributions and entry benefits were offset by 210.70 million francs in 2015.
history
In 1920, the company welfare service of the Sulzer brothers was founded, from which the salaried pension fund (APK) emerged one year later . In 1959, the company pension fund (WPK) was founded for the 125th anniversary . On January 1, 1985, the Occupational Pension Act, and with it the three-pillar principle for old-age provision, was established in Switzerland. As a result, the APK and the WPK merge to form the Sulzer Pension Fund . In 1995 the insurance system was changed from defined benefit to defined contribution. In 1997 all of the Sulzer pension funds merged to form the Sulzer pension fund .
