description

The Sumatran double knife has two different blades, mostly of unequal length. The individual blades are single-edged and smooth. The booklet is available in different versions, which are usually very simple. It is made of wood and widens from the pommel to the blade. It is tied with ribbons made of metal or with rattan cords , which are very similar to bamboo . The sheaths are slightly bent in the local area and are usually also made of wood. They are made similar to the booklet. Other versions of the scabbards and hilts are made of metal and are richly decorated. In these versions, the booklets are often shaped into figures. It is used by ethnic groups from Sumatra.
