description
The one-story building at the junction of Larchwood Road and Atholl Road ( A924 ) in the historic center of Pitlochry has an elongated floor plan. It was built in the late 18th or early 19th century, incorporating fragments of a previous structure. It is a well-preserved example of a Cruck house, a once common type of building in Scotland. Its facades are partly plastered with Harl . The south-facing main facade with small windows is three axes wide. The two gable sides are unadorned. Two crucks support the thatched roof , which has been preserved to this day, but is not visible from the outside because it is covered with red corrugated iron.
