Sunviva ( Lycopersicon esculentum L. ) is the second cultivated tomato variety that was published with the open source seed license under an open source license .

The variety was bred in the network of the ecological outdoor tomato project of the University of Göttingen . The original seed producer is Culinaris. Thanks to the open source license, the seeds can be propagated further and used for their own breeding if these are also placed under the license.

It is an aromatic, sweet and juicy cocktail tomato. The fruits are bright yellow with a diameter of approx. 30 mm. The plants are robust and show resistance to late blight and brown rot . The sowing takes place from mid-February.
