Supplieren (from the Latin supplere , 'to supplement, replace' ) is an outdated foreign word in Germany that means “complement, fill in, represent”. In Austria it is still used in schools for holding substitute hours, the supplier hours . An auxiliary / substitute teacher is called a supplier teacher or, especially in South Tyrol , a supplement .
