Surāqa ibn Mirdās

Surāqa ibn Mirdās ibn Asmā 'Chālid al-Bāriqī ( Arabic سراقة بن مرداس بن أسماء بن خالد البارقي, DMG Surāqa b. Mirdās b. Asmāʾ b. Ḫālid al-Bāriqī ; * in the 7th century in Kufa ; † 699 ) was an Arab poet.

Act

Suraqa al-Bariqi was a member of the Bariq tribe from the Arabian Peninsula. His poetry revolves around the philosophy of life and the description of battles.
