Banu Bariq

The Banu Bariq ( Arabic بنو بارق, DMG Banū Bāriq ; also Banu Barik ) were an important group of Arab tribes in Yemen , in the southwest of Yathrib (Medina) in the time of Muhammad . They began migrating north in the 3rd century AD. The Banu Bariq represents a branch of the Azd tribe .
