Surinameplein
The Surinameplein ( German: Suinameplatz ) is a square in the west of the Dutch capital Amsterdam . It is named after the former Dutch colony of Suriname in South America.

The Surinameplein is located in the Amsterdam-West district , about 1 ½ kilometers east of the Lelylaan train station .
