Sven Quandt

Sven Quandt (born June 1956 ) is a German entrepreneur and motor sportsman.

Life

Quandt comes from Herbert Quandt's second marriage to Liselotte Blobelt. The parents' marriage ended in divorce in 1959. In 1978 Herbert Quandt bequeathed the shares in Varta AG to the children of this marriage, Sonja, Sabrina and Sven Quandt . In 1979, at the age of 23, he joined the Supervisory Board of Varta, where he is still active today after the IPO in October 2017.

Motorsport

Sven Quandt was a German rally driver and is the founder and managing director of the X-raid motorsport team . He began his racing career in 1991 and took in the 1990s, seven times as a driver of the team GECO Raid Sport at the Dakar Rally in part. In 1998 he won the World Marathon Rally Championship in a Mitsubishi Pajero .

From November 2002 to 2004 Quandt was Head of Motorsport at Mitsubishi Motors . Quandt founded his private motorsport team with X-raid in 2001 , of which he is currently the team manager.
