Swoodoo ( spelling : SWOODOO ) is a meta search engine for flights. The basic function of the website is a price comparison with various filter options. The service was originally introduced as a flight supermarket in Germany. The company now also offers search options for hotels, rental cars and package tours. Swoodoo is available in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. The website shows offers from various providers, including online travel agencies and airlines.
Swoodoo has also been offering mobile apps for iOS and Android since 2010.
history
The idea for Swoodoo first came up in 2004 and the company was founded in the same year. In November 2006 the first beta version of Swoodoo went online and in March 2007 the official market launch followed. In 2009 and before the acquisition by KAYAK in 2010, Swoodoo had already introduced its own hotel search engine and product enhancements were also implemented over the course of time.
Swoodoo has been part of KAYAK since 2010. KAYAK has over 900 employees in 12 locations worldwide. The company's European headquarters are in Zurich . KAYAK is part of Booking Holdings Inc .
