Symbol stone from High Keillor
The Pictish symbol stone of High Keillor (also called High Keillor Farm Stone , Baldowie Stone / Baldowrie Farm / Baldowrie Symbol Stone ) stands on the north slope of Keillor Hill in Kettins , near Coupar Angus in Perthshire in Scotland .
The columnar Pictish Class 1 symbol stone made of granite is 1.98 m high and has a cross-section of 0.83 m. The stone from the 7th century bears three symbols: a wolf above a double disc with a Z-bar and a mirror below.
The stone, discovered by Skene in 1832, was recorded on top of a hill. In the late 1840s the top part broke off and was clamped together with a metal clamp between 1848 and 1856.
