Synagogue (Allenstein)

Olsztyn Synagogue, around 1890

The synagogue in Olsztyn (Polish: Olsztyn ), today's capital of the Polish Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship , was built in 1877.

The synagogue on Liebstädter Strasse (today Ulica Grunwaldzka 5a) was built in the Moorish style after a previous building from 1835 on the corner of Schanzenstrasse and Krummstrasse had become too small.

The synagogue was burned down during the November pogroms in 1938 .
