System of natural freedom

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The simple system of natural freedom is a social order proposed by Adam Smith ("obvious and simple system of natural liberty").

The central message is: freedom and prosperity are achieved at the same time. With the exception of a few regulatory framework conditions, people are given complete freedom in their actions in order to perceive their own interests. In terms of the invisible hand , Smith postulates that the "natural order" of things automatically also perceives the interests of the general public.

The proposal is possibly clearer in comparison with an "unnatural system". Smith had the nobility, the feudal system , feudalism in mind . Again, Smith described how the invisible hand (nature's will) eventually abolished itself through the selfish behavior of the nobility and society moved towards the system of natural freedom.

Two centuries later, Amartya Sen is awarded the Danish Television Prize for further explanations in line with the basic idea of the system of natural freedom. "Development as Freedom".

“If, therefore, one gives up all systems of favoring and restriction, the insightful and simple system of natural freedom is automatically created. As long as the individual does not violate the law, he is given complete freedom so that he can pursue his own interests in his own way ... The ruler is thereby completely released from a duty, in the exercise of which he must always be exposed to countless deceptions and to their Fulfillment no human wisdom or knowledge could ever suffice, namely the duty or task of overseeing the acquisition of private people and directing them into branches of the economy that are most useful for the country.
