System service
System services (AS) are those services in the electricity supply that are necessary for the quality of supply and that electricity network operators provide in addition to the transmission and distribution of electrical energy . These are among others:
- Frequency maintenance of the network frequency
- Voltage maintenance
- Restoration of supply
- Operations management / network congestion management
The provision of control power for frequency maintenance is the AS with the highest economic weight.
