Network services are technical services on line-bound supply infrastructures such as electricity, gas, water / wastewater and district heating networks. Among the network services include, for example troubleshooting , maintenance , management and also engineering services in the design and construction of the network resources .

In contrast to the "software" system service , network services describe the service on the "hardware" of the network infrastructure.
