The Sarsonne is a river in France that runs in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region . It rises in the municipality of Saint-Martial-le-Vieux , in the Millevaches en Limousin Regional Nature Park , generally drains in a southerly direction and flows into the Diège after 27 kilometers in the municipality of Saint-Exupéry-les-Roches as a left tributary . In its lower reaches it crosses the city of Ussel and to the southeast of it passes under the A89 motorway . On its way, the Sarsonne touches the Creuse and Corrèze departments .
