Courteix ( Cortés in Occitan ) is a French municipality with 66 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the Correze in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine . The residents call themselves Courteixois (es).

geography

The municipality is located in the Massif Central on the Plateau de Millevaches and therefore also in the Millevaches en Limousin Regional Nature Park on the left bank of the Sarsonne .

Tulle , the prefecture of the department, is about 80 kilometers southwest, Aubusson in the Creuse about 45 kilometers slightly northwest and Ussel about 15 kilometers south.

Courteix's neighboring communities are Couffy-sur-Sarsonne in the north, Aix in the east and south-east, Saint-Pardoux-le-Neuf in the south and Saint-Rémy in the west.

The training area Camp de La Courtine is about twelve kilometers northwest of Courteix.
