The community is located in the Massif Central on the left side of the Diège .

Tulle , the prefecture of the department, is about 70 kilometers southwest, Ussel about 14 kilometers north and Bort-les-Orgues about 14 kilometers southeast.

Neighboring municipalities of Saint-Victour are Saint-Bonnet-près-Bort in the north, Margerides in the east, Roche-le-Peyroux in the south, Sainte-Marie-Lapanouze , Saint-Étienne-la-Geneste and Chirac-Bellevue in the west and Saint-Exupéry -les-Roches and Veyrières in the northwest.
