Lamazière-Basse ( La Masiera Bassa in Occitan ) is a French municipality with 299 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the Correze in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine .

geography

The municipality is located in the Massif Central between the Luzège , a tributary of the Dordogne , and the Vianon , a tributary of the Luzège.

Tulle , the prefecture of the department, is about 50 kilometers southwest, Ussel about 25 kilometers northeast and Égletons about 15 kilometers northwest.

Neighboring municipalities of Lamazière-Basse are Palisse in the north, Neuvic in the east, Saint-Hilaire-Luc and Saint-Pantaléon-de-Lapleau in the south-east, Lapleau in the south-west, Moustier-Ventadour in the west and Darnets in the north-west.
