Pérols-sur-Vézère ( perols de Vesera in Occitan ) is a French municipality with 185 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the Correze in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine . The residents call themselves Pérolais (es).
geography
The municipality is located in the Massif Central on the Plateau de Millevaches and therefore also in the Millevaches en Limousin Regional Nature Park . The Vézère forms the border between the municipalities of Bugeat and Pérols-sur-Vézère. Furthermore, three tributaries of the Vézère flow through the municipality: the Ars and the Corrèze , the latter also having its source here.
Tulle , the prefecture of the department, is about 55 kilometers southwest, Égletons about 30 kilometers south and Ussel about 36 kilometers southeast.
Neighboring municipalities of Pérols-sur-Vézère are Saint-Merd-les-Oussines in the north, Meymac in the northeast, Ambrugeat in the east, Bonnefond in the south and Bugeat in the west.
The Lac de Viam is located about nine kilometers west of Pérols-sur-Vézère.
