Valiergues ( Valhèrgues in Occitan ) is a French municipality with 144 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the Correze in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine .

geography

The municipality is located in the Massif Central south of the Plateau de Millevaches and the Regional Nature Park Millevaches en Limousin not far from the Diège, a right tributary of the Dordogne .

Tulle , the prefecture of the department, is about 60 kilometers to the southwest, Ussel about 9 kilometers to the north and Bort-les-Orgues about 25 kilometers to the southeast.

Neighboring municipalities of Valiergues are Mestes in the north and east, Chirac-Bellevue in the east, Palisse in the south-west and Saint-Angel in the west and north-west.

Description : In blue, a pressed golden rafter ; above this a silver crescent moon , bordered by two golden keys with a quatrefoil with the beard to the right. The right place is red-gold geschacht and covers a key to the Ride. Under the rafters a golden sun with a face .

Symbolism: The red and gold box in the place is a reference to the House of Ventadour .
