Ambrugeat ( Ambrujac in Occitan ) is a French municipality with 205 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the Correze in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine . The inhabitants call themselves Ambrugeacois (es) .

geography

The municipality is located in the Massif Central on the Plateau de Millevaches and thus also in the Millevaches en Limousin Regional Nature Park , directly on the west bank of Lac de Sèchemailles and about seven kilometers south of Mont Bessou .

Tulle , the prefecture of the department, is about 50 kilometers southwest, Égletons about 15 kilometers southwest and Ussel about 15 kilometers east.

Neighboring communities of Ambrugeat are Meymac in the north and east, Davignac in the south, Bonnefond in the south-west and Pérols-sur-Vézère in the west.

The Dadalouze , a tributary of the Corrèze , has its source in the municipality of Ambrugeat.
