The municipality is located in the Massif Central on the upper reaches of the Doustre and is surrounded by extensive forests and fields. Tulle , the prefecture of the department is about 20 kilometers southwest and Égletons about 8 kilometers northeast and Ussel about 35 kilometers northeast.
