The community is located in the Massif Central on the left side of the Luzège , a tributary of the Dordogne .

Tulle , the prefecture of the department, is about 50 kilometers southwest, Ussel about 28 kilometers northeast and Égletons about 19 kilometers northwest.

Neighboring municipalities of Saint-Hilaire-Luc are Neuvic in the northeast and east, Latronche and Saint-Pantaléon-de-Lapleau in the south and Lamazière-Basse in the west.
